Another meme, another post with high engagement

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how social media marketers can use trending, popular memes and repurpose them to advertise their brand. At some point, everybody should want to forge ahead with their own trends and marketing, but in this fast-paced world where we are assaulted with content (and the need for content) every minute and every second, occasionally walking a well-traveled path is worth it if you’re looking for something easy that will draw somebody’s attention.

My latest post is based on the new hit movie, “A Star is Born,” which features a scene between Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga having an unexpectedly sweet moment. While the scene was in the trailer, once the film was released, it quickly turned into a meme that spread like wildfire.

As I mentioned in my previous post, one of my clients is DJ Trivia WNY, where participants answer trivia questions in area venues. There are several rounds, with the final question presenting each team with a “Do or Die” moment where they bet everything on the right answer. The results can swing the team from first place to last place, and I’ve seen teams lose their minds at each other after advocating for the wrong answer.

Putting so much energy into a low-stakes game like DJ Trivia is always an amply opportunity for comedy. See my latest below, which tripled the usual reach and engagement for these posts.
